2009 CRM Junior Visiting Positions
deadline 28 January 2009

The Centro di Ricerca Matematica "Ennio De Giorgi" invites applications
for 4 one-year junior visiting positions:

CRM Junior Visiting Position, entirely supported by the Centro De Giorgi.

CRM Junior Visiting Position, entirely supported by the Centro De Giorgi.

CariLucca - SNS Junior Visiting Position, partially supported by the
"Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Lucca".

Emma e Giovanni Sansone Junior Visiting Position, partially supported by
the "Fondazione Emma e Giovanni Sansone".

Appointments will be made initially for one year, with the possibility
of an extension for a second year. The visit is expected to begin not
later than October 2009. It is not possible to start the visit during
the month of August, when CRM is closed.

Each visiting position carries a salary of 25,000.00 EUR, besides a
research grant of 5,000.00 Euro per annum. The research grant is meant
for inviting other researchers to work with and it is not possible to
move possible residual amounts to the following year.
With the exception of the official holiday periods, absences must be
approved by the Director and are allowed just for scientific reasons and
for short term periods that cannot get over 1 month per year.

Visitors will actively participate in the scientific life of the Center
and possibly deliver a graduate course.

At the time of their application applicants should be no more than 34
years old and within five years of their PhD.

Application Procedure
Each application should include:

* Curriculum vitae
* Up-to-date biodata
* Full list of publications
* Preferable within five years
* Two letters of recommendation (to be sent separately by the
applicant's supervisor or by a senior mathematician)

28th, 2009 and should be addressed to the Director of the Center, Prof.
Mariano Giaquinta.
