FDIS2011 -- Finite Dimensional Integrable Systems in Geometry and
Physics 26.07 --- 29.07.2011

The conference location is the University of Jena, Germany.

The emphasis will be geometric and the lectures will explain the
connections between the modern theory of finite dimensional integrable
systems and other branches of mathematics and mathematical physics,
their role in interactions between mathematics and physics, and their
applications in geometry and physics.

Topics include
• Integrable geodesic flows and natural Hamiltonian systems
• Integrable Systems on Lie Algebras and Symmetric Spaces
• Applications of finite dimensional integrable systems in
mathematical physics and general relativity
• Integrability criteria and obstructions to integrability
• Symplectic geometry and dynamics of integrable systems
• Killing tensors and separation of variables
• System of PDE and Cartan geometries arising in the theory of
integrable systems

Thanks to generous support of the DFG Research Training Group
``Quantum and Gravitational Fields'', there will be no conference fee
and we are able to support most speakers (accommodation), and, if
resources allow, graduate students and postdocs working in this
field.

We plan to have 21 lectures and a poster session. The participants
will be invited to offer oral or poster presentation. The titles and
abstracts of the contributions have to be submitted by May 20th to
FDIS2011 @ uni-jena.de and the authors will be informed about
acceptance by June 5th.

The afternoon of 28.07 is reserved for social activities, excursions
and the conference dinner.

All participants (invited speakers and other participants) are asked
to arrange their own hotel reservation. We have made
pre-reservations for reduced prices in a number of Jena hotels; the
participants are requested to contact the hotels before 10.06.2011.
For schedule, titles, abstracts, list of hotels, and contact
information see the conference web site
http://fdis2011.uni-jena.de/

Important deadlines:
• 20.05.2011 submission of titles and abstracts of the contributions
• 10.06.2011 reservation of accommodation and registration

FDIS2011 is organized by Vladimir S. Matveev, Christian Richter, Konrad Schöbel
