年明け1月開催のおいでMath談話会についてお知らせします．

日時：2024年1月16日(火) 15:00--17:00，開催方法：オンライン

講演者：Elliott GINDER 氏（明治大学）

題目（第1部）：曲面上に制限された界面運動へのminimizing movementsによるアプローチ（言語：英語）

題目（第2部）：日本での研究：振り返って思うこと（言語：日本語）

第1部は，最先端のテーマについて非専門家向けに解説する講演です．
第2部は，多様性を備えた包摂的な数学コミュニティの形成を促すことを目指しており，
講演者のお話の他，希望者のためのグループに分かれての交流や情報交換もあります．

We are pleased to inform you about Catch-All Math Colloquium in January
next year.

Time: 2024 January 16 (Tuesday), 3:00-5:00 PM (JST), Online

Speaker: Elliott Ginder (Meiji University)

Title (first talk): A minimizing movements approach to surface-constrained
interfacial motions (language: English)

Title (second talk): Reflections and Shared Insights: researching in Japan
(language: Japanese, partly English)

The first part is a talk on mathematics, designed so that it is
understandable to a general mathematical audience.
The second part is aimed at catching and promoting diverse groups of people
doing math
and besides the speaker’s contemplation also includes small-group exchanges.
