Dear colleague:

We are pleased to announce the Doc-course in Geometric Analysis, which will
take place at the Universities of Cádiz, Granada and Seville (Spain)
from October
1 to December 5, 2019.



This event is organized by the Andalusian Institute of Mathematics (IAMAT) and
will take place at its two venues: the Institute of Mathematics of the
University of Granada (IEMath-GR) <http://wpd.ugr.es/~iemath/es/> and
the Institute
of Mathematics of the University of Seville <http://wpd.ugr.es/~iemath/es/>
(IMUS) <http://www.imus.us.es/>, plus the University of Cádiz (UCA)
<http://www.uca.es/>. It will consist of three different complementary
activities:

   1.

   Introductory courses (12 hours each):
   1.

      The isoperimetric problem,
      2.

      Constant mean curvature surfaces,
      3.

      Minimal surfaces,
      4.

      Other geometric PDEs.

These courses will take place at IEMath and IMUS (October 1-25).

   1.

   A short research program supervised by experts at IEMath, IMUS or UCA
   (November 4-December 5), in which participants will delve into some
   research topics of their interest, and will present their results in a
   small workshop at the end of this period.
   2.

   An *international* conference on Geometric Analysis will take place at
   UCA (October 28-31). Senior and junior speakers will show some of the
   most up-to-date results in different topics related to Geometric Analysis.
   Besides PhD students taking part in the program, the conference will be
   open to all researchers willing to participate.


The program is intended for a *maximum of 20 PhD students*, selected from
all applicants on the basis of their curricula. They will also receive
economic support covering accomodation and living expenses. The application
deadline is April 30, 2019, and selection will be communicated no later
than May 15, 2019. General registration in the conference (open to
everyone) is not available yet and will be announced in a forthcoming email.
