新学術領域「次世代物質探索のための離散幾何」キックオフワークショップ
Discrete Geometric Analysis for Materials Design

「次世代物質探索のための離散幾何学」領域では、これまで邂逅の機会があまりな
かった『数学』と『物質・材料科学』という日本が優位を誇る２つの分野が協働で新
しい地平を切り拓き、社会に貢献することを目指しています。日本ならではの次世代
物質探索を旗印に、数学、物理（理論・実験）、化学、材料工学、情報科学など様々
な分野をそれぞれ深化させることも目指します。「物質を階層的ネットワークとして
理解する」という大目標のもと、研究項目としてA01「トポロジカル物質」A02「ネッ
トワーク解析による高分子材料」、A03 「極小曲面とナノ構造の動的構造形成」、
B01「物質・材料科学のための情報科学基盤」を置いています。たくさんの方と情報
を共有し議論の機会をもてるようキックオフワークショップを開催します。
