題目：Morse theory in highly relative situations
講演者：吉田 純  氏（東京大学大学院数理科学研究科）

概要：
Morse theory is one of the fundamental tools in differential topology.
For example, it gives an algebraic description of topological field 
theories (TFT) in the sense of Atiyah.
In this talk, we will discuss its relative analogue, considering 
manifolds with submanifolds.
Although there is a great work by Goresky and MacPherson, namely 
stratified Morse theory, we will take another approach; we will show a 
relative version of Transversality Theorem, which leads to the existence 
of Morse functions.
Finally, the results are applied to a motivational example: graphical 
calculus on cobordisms.
